I found some 1337 video of the rare and exotic rave raffe online! Here's the electric giraffe at night, with the LED spots running!

I'm still looking for some good steady video of the lights running from fairly far away... it's impossible to get the full effect from close up.

1337 Robotics has a new home! We're now hosted with a different service provider - nativespace. Some of the pages and subdomains may be a little flakey over the next few days as I sort out the new databases, but so far the move is going well!

Here it is! My help has been requested on the Electric Giraffe Project, also known as the Rave Raffe.

I'm doing some simple programming for the microcontroller that is the robot's brain. Currently, this involves rigging up some servos and LEDs that will control the giraffe's ears, jaw, and eyes. Read more about it on the homepage, the projects page here, or the Rave Raffe Blog

The hit counter database was somehow destroyed, it looks like I have lost 6 months' worth of statistics :(

I have no idea what could have caused it, perhaps the server died in the middle of writing the file.

I've upgraded the guestbook again to help reduce the spam. When you sign, you will see an image containing a number - type the number into the box next to the image.

I've made some major internal site updates - the news and guestbook pages are all driven from MySQL now, and the hitcounter has been rewritten. It might need some tweaks over the next couple of days, but it's looking good!
